The Law of Attraction, which has been widely written and talked about–from the channeled teachings of Abraham through Esther Hicks, to the movie The Secret–has been reminding us all that we are each the flow-er of our own energy and the creator of our experience. This is not to say we have purposely created things we don’t want, but repeatedly focusing on and reinforcing anything, whether positive or negative will bring us more of that which is our point of focus. Quantum physics agrees and apparently has the science to back it up. The teachings of the Ascended Masters of the Crimson Council tell us, “You are God, Also.”

As the creator of my own experience and knowing I am the God of my own life I still make mistakes. I misjudge circumstances or overestimate my abilities. I lose my temper and know I could have done a better job of something than what I did. I have lazy days when I get nothing accomplished and sometimes feel like the whole world is crashing in around me. My life is far from perfect but I know deep down that I have the power to change my circumstances the moment I remember that I can choose where to put my attention. I can decide to do things differently. I can choose to accept what has happened and go forward from there having learned yet another way I’d prefer not to do things in the future.

These moments of realizing things are either far different than I’d planned, in a not so good way, or have worked out much better than I’d have dared hope for, evoke the same response from my surprised self. “Oh my God!” Recently, though, a voice from deep inside said, “Oh, I’m God!” When I have the presence of mind to remember this it always serves to remind me that there is something of value in every experience. I am not the victim of circumstances nor of other people. I am not even the victim of what I sometimes think of as my poor judgment. I create experiences sometimes for the sheer experience itself. If I don’t like the way it feels I am free to create something else. This is only possible, though, when I remember that I created whatever I am experiencing and I always have a choice about what to do with my energy and attention that will affect what happens next.

Jesus said, “Be still and know that I Am God.”  You are God, also.
